Synopsis Edit

The Young Men go on a week-long backpacking trip through Hoover Wilderness, a designated wilderness between Inyo National Forest and Toiyabe National Forest. The first day, August 10, they hike from Leavitt Meadows Campground to Roosevelt Lake. That night, Travis Neal got a giant mosquito bite near his eyelid, making it all puffed up for the next few days. The next day, August 11, they continue on to Walker River, where they camp another night.

On August 12, they met up with Taylor Jackson along the trail, and they all hike what some consider the hardest part of The Pacific Crest Trail to Sonora Pass. They make it up to Leavitt Peak, and down the other side to Leavitt Lake, where they camp the remainder of the week. On August 13, they meet up with Paul Kukuk and they go to a nearby snow patch. Paul Kukuk said he'd give Dallin Earl and Travis Neal a Snickers bar if they'd race up the face of the mountain. They do...and he still owes them that Snickers bar. On August 14, they take a day hike to nearby Ski Lake, where both Travis Neal and Rick Patterson try to eat live grasshoppers.
